Codependency.. an interesting card for a fresh new week. And the message for today is certainly not for everyone but it is something to think about.
In the times we’ve been living in with wars and covid.. it is no surprise that people have leaned on each other for support. And what starts off as a friendship and leads onto a path that is much more of necessity rather than love, is where codependency comes in.
Before I begin the reading, to those of you who are new to my blog, I do not read the book description so there may be an added message in there for you. Please do check!
Card 53
Codependency - Key to Freedom
We see depicted two trees almost attached to each other by intertwining branches, roots.. and as if that wasn’t enough, a padlock has been added and they’ve thrown away the key.
Autumn leaves fall from greenery symbolising the link has spanned seasons between you both/all/situation or work relationship. All the pinks are healing tones and the green is always mother nature but also the heart chakra.
There are two messages I get from this card..
1.
All situations in life, work/love/family: One that a relationship or situation in your life has passed its cell by date.. what once was a mutually necessary bind is now needed to be unlocked and freed. If you find yourself in a situation of this nature in your life this will resonate with you. It isn’t just about having that which gives you peace in life but also, that which gives you stability.. but which also doesn’t allow you to grow snd exams your roots on that grassy hill in freedom. As I’ve mentioned here before.. we are so free we are free to choose bondage.
If this resonates with you it is time to address this situation in your life, to unlock your potential snd your dreams! Set the person/situation free and expand, grow.. the universal always has your back and will be caring and watching over you no matter what you are going through. Trust in yourself, activate self-care, watch your favourite movies and run a hot bath or play a good game of table tennis. Only you know what to reach out in order to spark joy in your life.
If you need to detach from someone that is now somewhat a bit of a burden in your life or has had their time in your life and you have outgrown them, then please understand that the binds here run deep so, be careful with other peoples feelings. Spend a little less time with them, pull away snd start to do more things for yourself. Nature has a way of magnetising just the right things to us and polar opposite to what needs to be pushed out.. and that is not necessarily a person but more of a situation that has been ongoing.
We sometimes grow apart from our partners and friends and the situation here isn’t one-sided it will be a mutual situation occurring that you‘ll need to slowly pull away from.
The key to both your freedoms is right there.. do not choose to lock into this without much change or prospects.
Only you hold the key.

Deepening Love: the Second message here is that there is a connection that may have started as codependency a mutual leaning on each other but has grown stabilising roots, deepening your connection and the key has been placed there, not locked together and thrown out, as it is a relationship based on mutual freedom and authenticity where the choice is to be together but there is always the chance to walk away if things were not right unlocking your futures as such.
The leaves symbolise that breath of your future together through seasons and time. Beautiful.. like a nod from Summer to Autumn and still the trees are attached.
A friend of mine observed the card and commented that, ‘the key runs root deep, a deep connection, binding heart connection’ which to me is perfect gor what I feel the second message is bringing.
There may be someone in your life whom you have had a connection with and certainly past lives with (usually known in each lifetime as that feeling you’ve known each other before or met before). If this resonates with you then there is someone special in your life that you have a deep connection with and perhaps are in union now or have a key to unlock this union.
It is coming, if it hasn’t happened yet. And it is beautiful! Free your hearts to bring in harmony snd love I even got the word March in there so perhaps this month is the month for a beginning to turn that key slowly and unleash this new love. Or for those in a long standing relationship to further deepen snd transform your connection within your families and friends or with your children.
The key in this definition is purely based on love, authenticity and mutual respect.
Whichever situation may resonate with you know that either way, the choice is yours. No one should ever dictate to you or say what you should do with your life. You are the sole owner or your driving seat.. let it be a happy and magnificent journey in whatever way that makes it so for you individually.. and if love is what you resonate with from this reading, that special connection existing in your life or about to re-enter it.. that runs deep and binding. It isa confirmation that your relationship will deepen.
