Happy New Year!! Let’s hope 2022 doesn’t suck but for a few people around me it has been a tricky transition from 2021. Are you feeling that too!?

Well for the first Ashram Monday’s of the year 2022 (numerology-wise I mean.. so many 2’a!).. and currently sporting rays of the New Moon we’ve just had.. I wanted to use this deck that to me relates much to the moon phases.

But for now.. today’s reading is very telling coming out of a tricky year and entering something new..

Today we have a three card reading and I was advised to also include the bottom of the deck! Here’s your message for today!

From Darkness no.40 (a card we’ve had before here on Ashram Monday’s).. Also look at the moon!!! New Moon symbolic? Looks like one or an eclipse but feels very much like us all now leaving behind the last year and events..

1️⃣ Darkness

..to Change no.35 a card so full of electricity and movement it actually is such an unsettling energy, like The Tower card in tarot..

2️⃣ Change

.. to what has been happening all along and there is still more left to come..

3️⃣ Growth

..with the bottom of the deck talking all about..

4️⃣ Self Love

This reading, if you have been called to reading it, is a message for you to say that all you have been through and have survived has been part of your lesson and growth.. but things are going to change.

Whether career, relationships, friendships, families and neighbours, your health.. I feel these cards quite literally a count down to your nee fresh start.. right to the Fool card in tarot that’s just come to my mind in saying this.. it is on its way to you now.

You may have felt on your own looking out towards the possibility of the year ahead, your path in life ahead just like card 1️⃣ with the bunny looking out onto the moonlit path ahead. Notice how the night sky on the horizon is covered in a dusting of beautifully lit starry heavens. You are never alone. There is always the universe on your side guiding you back on your path to happiness. But that everything you’ve had to face or have been facing from 2021 is taking a turn if it hasn’t already. Note the path turns to the right.. towards card no2. 2️⃣, with Change.

This card feels like in its younger years it would have been a straight forward punch to the face or launch off the egg facet on the left.. ready to move and leave the nest as such.. and yet now it feels like the woman in the card has arrived! Not departing. She is trying to create a break through for herself! Does this sound familiar?

So if you’ve been feeling detached or had an overhaul in your life of magnanimous proportions , just understand like this card.. it is a fast paced card but in saying that, as soon as it enters, it leaves! Your world may have fallen apart in a sudden and unexpected change that happened so quickly your head’s still spinning. And just as quickly, demolition of the soul complete, you are left with something cracked, broken or simply still needno to be constituted anew.

What change leaves behind to me feels like a variety of situations but I am feeling there is a part of you that you have had to leave behind in order to grow yourself ready for 2022. You have undergone much shadow work or work on yourself and your emotions (as depicted by water in this card). This change may have happened in a break up.. it may have transpired in the loss of a job, finance, bankruptcy and loss of earnings, loss of family members and loved ones.. the change I speak of and am feeling from this card is nothing short of a major emotional turmoil in your life!

This sudden happening needed to, well, happen. It needed to clear path for the new and for card 3️⃣ Growth!

That egg on the left of card 2️⃣ needed to be pierced, broken, fertilised, in order for growth to happen! And isn’t it always in our darkest hours we tend to find our answers? We are never alone

Growth is a certainly what is coming.. right now I feel some of you may be transitioning through Change still.. but growth, our fertilised egg of good relationships, communication.. but mostly of out personal growth is here or on its way to you today.

Change still feels like it’s sporting a Full Moon whereas waxing crescent in growth is leading up to a full moon.. timing wise, between now and the end of February is your time of introspection and change.. or at least not in this full moon but leading onto the next one! Use it and nurture this new aspect of you, the new you.

3️⃣Growth card the figure has grown firm roots from the egg, symbolic of life.. and she hold a swinging clock in one hand.. it is a matter of time for you to transition.. before you feel fulfilled. But look at all the luscious leaves and vines.. like Spring coming out of winter and hibernation, and slowly awakens the sleepy shrubs with a burst of life!

Yes I can only see positivity from this reading. Everything you’ve gone through, some tremendous amount of pain, has resulted in personal growth.

The foundation of the reading is always what lies beneath or the card at the bottom of the deck and that is 4️⃣ Self Love.

The cards count consecutively down in the main reading; 40, 35, 5.. but when it comes to the bottom of the deck.. we are counting back up. Card 6 tells us that Self Love is what will fix things and help growth. From growth we learn self love and from self love we grow.

If you find yourself still working through changes in your life.. do not worry! You will finally have a deeper understanding of yourself and your needs and you’ll soon find that you are growing new strong roots, strong and empowered affirmations for your fresh new year ahead.

This year, is numerology number 6. All about connection, commitment, nostalgia, love, communication, balance and harmony. What you had before lacked the correct foundations for this.. but you are now on your way!

Self love should always be the first thing on your list after a massive change in your life.. hurricane like devastation for some. Fix you and you set yourself now on such a positive path ahead I am excited for your new life coming in. Embrace the newness and be kind to yourself.. now is the time for growth, Spring and Summer!
