Ashram Monday’s

No.42

Happy Monday to everyone! I reminisce today still on remembrance day and all who have given their life to protect our freedom. I am truly grateful for the bravery and ultimate sacrifice made for us.. and to honour them, I take nothing for granted! Sending all my warmth out to those whose families were affected then by loss.✨

Other than a somber start to our positive reading, on today’s Ashram Monday’s I was guided towards this deck and after shuffling I felt compelled to cut the deck for our card of the day. The card in front of it face down is also part of this reading and it will be the first card I talk about below. I do what feels right.. what I am compelled/told to do.

I also want to say that if you are reading my blog for the first time, I do not read the meaning in the book but will add that here to give you an extra dimension to your reading. It is your choice whether this resonates with you partially or entirely or not at all so please take what does call to you and chuck away what doesn’t.. but if you were compelled to read this today.. chances are there is something in this for you. Darkness 40

Long Night Moon

Our hidden mystery card. This card, although faced down it comes before out main card. The fact it was hidden, face down as I split the deck, not visible to the eye only the back of it tells me that you have potentially been undergoing a truly tough time.. transformative even. The depiction of a dark sky & path ahead, snow and frost cover the frozen landscape while the moon is completely obscuring the sun.. at least it is what it feels like to me.

Not dissimilar to this card where once sunlight was cut from your life. This is a metaphor for any hardship you may have been facing that has left you feeling lost in negative energy. The path ahead appears to have no goal, no outcome you can see.

We are represented by the rabbit silhouetted in the foreground, pausing to look ahead. Both moon and rabbit are the only silhouettes here, apart from the card being faced down, too.. all cutting off the light ahead, our own positive light in all this and our visibility of our future. Sound familiar? It can very easily be done when we feel like we are spiralling down into an abyss of one bad situation after another, where people and situations in life have caused us to lose our way, feel depressed and retract into ourselves for a while. I’ve certainly been there.

The fact is.. after that initial take back, that terrible shock, feelings of loss & sadness, even anger, that shakes us down to the ground.. it is then down to us to look up at what we have in life and bring in positivity into our everyday, every moment as we transition from grief back onto our path. We always always have something to feel grateful for.. down to having life.

This card, however, is not our reading today.. it forms what we are either undergoing now or have undergone in the past..

Growth 5

Waxing Crescent 3

..which brings me to our actual card of the day! From negativity we have finally changed and are growing, learning and coming out the other end stronger, grounded, more sure of what we want then we ever have been! If you are not here yet.. then know that this is already on its way to you.. it is a sign of hope, of what’s to come!

The depiction on this card is entirely different to the last.. even though these are both night skies, with the moon, Growth is all about, well, exactly that.

A nest takes time to create as does growing snd nurturing an egg, growing firm routes in a tree and for it to start to bare leaves snd branches! The person shown appears to be waking or asleep, holding a string with a clock at the end.. time.

It is only a matter of time but you are being divinely guided to your best self in future! Interestingly enough while I was meditating about today’s reading, in the shower (where I seem to do all my deepest thinking haha), I had the picture of the Empress card from the Rider Waite deck pop up! All I got was the word abundance, fruition, growth.

The person here could be an empress with a crown made of vines and leaves, happy in the direction she is going and aware of all that has changed within her. She grows regardless of the clock snd time she holds in her hand but she knows how long it has taken her to reach where she is now.. snd she knows that she has much more growth to undergo in future. She is content with her journey, this journey of life. She is not gender biased either.. as all my readings apply to all individuals.

Every branch and lead to me were decisions, directions taken, new avenues we took that changed the course of our growth and firmer roots we’ve grown ourselves. The roots in this image are not firmly rooted into the ground, that’s because the ‘egg’ our person, is what we must always grow roots to. Self nurture, self growth, self awareness.. it is our most rewarding learned journey in our existence. That & loving others.

Know that you have come such an incredibly long way already. You are a mighty warrior. If you are reading this you have already undergone so much in life you should pay yourself some added attention, pat yourself on the back, hold a small conference to the world and tell us all how awesome you are!

Whatever hardships you find yourself in now or are just coming out of.. know that it has helped you grow.. every branch, every leaf, every part of your soul. Do not doubt that your turning point is on its way.. change your thoughts to positive thinking and just give it time because the good stuff.. is underway! Can you feel it? Smell it? You should because it’s that close you can taste it!
