Have you been feeling on your own, reclusive, over-thinking or your mind has been on the past hurts, blames, situations that make you feel down?

You are not alone.. Mercury retrogrades energy is still in the air, like a big giant red hand slapping you, ‘wake up! wake up! wake up!’. Drugging old crap.. well.. it’s what retrogrades are for! Mercury, the planet said to rule communication, travel and thought, well when that retrogrades it brings back old situations from the past (recent or otherwise) where all of these were blocked or challenged in some way. Travel.. did make me chuckle.. retrograde would be an understatement!

So why would this be of any benefit to us? Like, ever? The short answer is.. if it’s in your head and burdening your heart, it needs addressing. The more philosophical answer is that we have many many opportunities ahead of us.. many new things about to enter our lives and both positive and negative changes ahead (life’s ups and downs). We drudge up, synchronistically, the right wrong stuff in order for us to deal with the wrong stuff, right. In other words, clearing house, sorting out our emotional baggage, addressing those issues that leave us stuck, leave us unable to face some of the changes ahead and allows us to grow. Maturing our dealings with others is something we do through our successes in relationships and love.. but mostly through our mistakes.

Unlike maths, there is no right or wrong formula to get you to address nor tell you how to address a problem.

This card completely embodies this energy of leaving old thoughts behind, old habits and ways of thinking.. clearing the decks ready for a fresher, more evolved you and your life ahead.. promoting a more emotionally balanced, just, calm reaction from you in future.

Looking closely at out card..

The image of a person almost within or part of a tree.. hand up to their heart and looking very somber. To their front and left of the card are bare branches but below them a flame.. to the right bare branches and below there are leaves of growth. Left is always the past to me when reading tarot and as we read left to right.. the right side would be the future.

The figure is seen closed eyes but facing the past, literally and figuratively as the flames of hurt and pain are being addressed.. but after doing that.. one only needs to turn around giving their backs to the past and moving into a flourishing future.. but the figure is currently giving all the abundance and new starts their back.

Its always the case that if we do not address old issues we do not move forward in an abundant manner. Broken off we go through life, seeing and addressing every situation with the same fears as in our past, not allowing ourselves to truly embrace and enjoy life to its fullest.

The message this card carries..

.. is a meditation. Gather what you have to clear that’s been on your mind, wrap it in light and see the light slowly seep through and those problems disappear. Ready there after to bounce forward especially after a truly difficult few years.. and a particularly fierce retrograde.

Know that you are a unique soul with a unique future ahead of you and you deserve to spend your time truly fulfilled and free of burdens. Not everything can be addressed now but retrogrades are in place to force that cleaning on our souls. As it’s the last day of this particular retrograde, the energy may carry on for a few days still, but there is always time to do the good work on ourselves.

You are not alone.. you are not crazy.. you are empowering yourself and what a magnificent journey this is! Enjoy even the awful times and embrace the good.. mostly, find peace by putting to bed old hang-ups and expect some good to come out of this.

This isn’t an easy journey so remember to be kind to yourself, self-nurture and take time out for you to recalibrate. It is only a matter of time before you are in full alignment ready to take on the world! Or at the very least.. your world❤️
