No.21

Todays message was meant to be only one card.. believe me when I shuffled the deck after this message fell out, I shuffled a several times more.. then realised I was being as obstinate as our Ashram Monday’s card today.

25. Elephant Spirit

Learn from the Past

ree

Beautiful! ‘An Elephant never forgets’ coined quote springs to mind here which always leads to learning.. ‘Once burned, Twice shy’. Fact is the noble Elephant has been used here for the very reason that in the wild it remembers the landscapes and vast locations of its pilgrimages accross the plains of Africa. They always have a matriarch or main leader that takes the herd through thousands of miles, knowing exactly where the waterholes are along the way in order for them not to die under sever drought at times. This, in turn, is passed on to the rest of the herd when the older elephants die so that the cycle may continue.

A really dear friend of mine absolutely loved elephants.. always remembering you Ros, but I can understand her enchantment. Having seen several documentaries and on safari, there is a gentle air of pure wisdom to these creatures, their herd and extremely caring family instincts that is utterly beautiful.

Regarding their memory they are known to recognise not only areas but people they encounter and formed a bond with, even if they had the. been separated from them when young and not seen them for over 20yrs.. incredible recognition.

The Elephant Spirit always talks of your ability to progress, having gone through all you have done, your own savanna pilgrimage as such, you now know how to navigate this journey and many others with more confidence and strength than you had before.

But other than learning your lessons the Elephant Spirit talks about strength and resilience but most of all about family, working together, being neighbourly and caring in your community. These are my intuitive message for the collective today.

The numerology side:

2 - harmony, balance, choice, duality, collaboration

5 - change, loss, sorrow, winning at a cost, empty victory

7 (2+5) - making a stand, memories

Colette Baron-Reid’s Oracle card original message:

Oracle Message: Although we often wish we could leave the past behind, Elephant Spirit reminds us that memory matters. We must respect the wisdom of the elders who hand down to us traditions they have shaped to express our connection to each other and respect for the community. What has come before informs what we are experiencing today, and we must never forget our legacy of strength and dignity. Elephant Spirit appears with the message that we are to acknowledge that which came before and learn from it. All of us are memory-based creatures, and we must revisit the past to understand where we are and where we are going. The stories of events you experienced, the stories in our collective memory, and the stories of relationships you have had can be told many ways. What story will you tell? Elephant Spirit is here to encourage you to make it one that stirs in you a sense of power and dignity, for you have honored yourself by choosing to learn from your past. Spirit rejoices at your willingness to learn and grow.

I had written both the top half of my msg and this section before looking at the true assigned meaning of the oracle card so there may be different angles on the message for you today. I was drawn to add this in here so it may well be something more relevant to you.

To me, the Elephant Spirit has called you to take stock of the last 2-5 years of your life, know that the lessons were part of your journey and progress and that the outcome is a new version of yourself!

Love & Light☀
